Linda Lee Hill (1947 - 2011)

Linda was born Nov. 5, 1947, in Logan, to Farrell Hillyard and Carma Petersen Hillyard. Linda grew up in Smithfield, the only girl among five brothers, from which she received (and returned) ample teasing. After graduating from Sky View High School, Linda briefly attended the University of Utah and then became a stewardess for United Airlines. Later, Linda stopped flying to marry and become a mother. She had three children: Cory, Terilynn and Kelly. Linda loved all her children and grandchildren dearly. Spending time with family was very important to her.
After a number of years being a stay-at-home mom, Linda returned to being a flight attendant in 1987. Linda met the love of her life, Glenn Hill, in 1991. They fell in love and were married March 15, 1992, residing in Washington state until Linda later retired from United Airlines.
Linda enjoyed ballroom dancing and golfing with her husband. In retirement, Glenn and Linda enjoyed traveling and settled in Ogden. Linda and Glenn were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on Feb. 10, 2001. Linda held a number of church callings and loved giving to and serving others. Scrapbooking was one of her favorite hobbies and she made many books for her family.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Hill of Ogden; sons, Cory Pritchard (Julie) and Kelly Pritchard (Heidi), and daughter, Terilynn Pritchard, all of Washington state; brothers, Steven Hillyard (Linda) and Kim Hillyard (Lisa) of Washington state and Rex Hillyard and Ross Hillyard (Renée) of Smithfield; stepchildren, Mandy Barker (Raun) of Syracuse, Michelle Hill of South Ogden, Glenn Hill (Debbie) and Jason Hill (Sammy) of Clearfield; parents, Farrell and Carma Hillyard of Smithfield; eight grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Hillyard; and grandparents, Ella and Parley Petersen and Wayman and Amanda Hillyard.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 North, Logan. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral services from noon to 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery.
